La danza Turca “Sufi” esta relacionada estrechamente con el movimiento giratorio de los planetas y la conexión con Dios, un ritual en donde los bailarines llamados Derviches, giran sobre su propio y eje y con ese movimiento, hasta llegar a alternar estados de conciencia y de éxtasis místico.
La pieza consiste en un video en loop de un bailarín Derviche realizando este ritual. La animación de poco tiempo de duración, repetirá indeterminadamente este movimiento recreando de forma visual este forma de meditación.
The Turkish dance “Sufi” is closely related to the rotating movement of the planets and the connection with God, a ritual where dancers called Dervishes, turn on their own axis and with that movement, until they alternate states of consciousness and of mystical ecstasy.
The piece consists of a loop video of a Dervish dancer performing this ritual. The short duration animation will repeat this movement indeterminately, visually recreating this form of meditation.
